Mary;

Where do you get this that Krugman is a dummy?

A dummy? So everyone that a person disagrees with is a dummy? Hardly. I have a strong disagreement with many - if not most - of Krugman's thinking as he just waves his hand as if the cost side of the ledger doesn't exist. Well cost does matter. Try taking out a mortgage that you have no hope of paying back and you will see how much and how fast it does matter.

In the Krugman piece his only real comment is ....JUST DO IT. But providing health care to all people won't do one thing to fix our broken health care system. Next to Krugman's piece in the hard copy of NYTimes this morning is an excellent piece by Paul O'Neil (don't know if has been posted - I hope so) that touches on real meaningful health care thinking that addresses cost. If we do nothing but provide health care to everyone without containing cost - all of us will soon pay a huge cost as America falls further behind.
