The real point is, it's not "quitting" when you take on a bigger job to replace your previous one in public service. It's quitting when you quit to go to NO job, because you just can't hack it..

Now, running across a dishonest moron like steve harris on the internet is no big deal, it's a dog bites man story. But, unfortunately, he represents what his party has been reduced to all too well. And like his party, he lacks the integrity to admit when he's wrong.

That's exactly right. At one point, Harris was fairly honest as wingers went. Then he started tracking people's posts.....sort of like how they do things in Iran and Saudi Arabia. And then he started getting nasty.....insulting people as much as possible. Finally, its come to this.....making statements that are mostly a lie but with the thinnest of threads that might be considered truth.

Inode has gone through a similar metamorphosis. Recently, I caught him editoralizing an article that better fit his POV. Desperation causes people to do desperate things.

"Did you see his latest squirm? "

It is what harris does. He makes some stupid statement, you call his hand, he weasels around and eventually drops it. Only to bring it up again later.

And, to top it all off, he accuses you of doing this dance.
