Your story is similar to many who couldn't get brokers today.

I wouldn't feel too bad about missing CPQ. It looks like it traded down at the close - near the days low.

Good luck,
Don

Ashikin, I am long broc, short ctxs, avnt, zitl, and heavy to cash at the moment having dumped most of my other longs last week and covered other shorts today. I think the market will now over react to the high side and we now know that the best shorts in a crash are the over valued high fliers like aol, yhoo, etc. But these same stocks are likely to climb quickly now, but very dangerous to go long them. I am tired, somewhat confused, and going to sit in cash until I get re-oriented.

Ashikin Wan-Noor: trading problems- I experienced similar problems with Lombard yesterday and it cost me some $$$. I know yesterday was an anomaly, but it shows how impotent the small investor is in these situations. Anyone out there have a broker respond quickly yesterday?
