Well, Romney is a Mormon and will never be acceptable to the bible-thumping part of the (R) base. If he even LOOKS like he's defeating a Palin-type candidate, you'll receive an education in Mormonism from his opponents. Plus, Romney isn't just ANY Mormon, but has held high position in that church. The (R)'s are hostage at the primary level to picking candidates that will NEVER fly as national candidates. The exploited loonies have taken over the (R) party. I just don't see any way out of it for them.
