That could really backfire. Sarah's tormentors say they WANT to be sued, so they can put Sarah on the witness stand. They say they have lawyers lined up who are itching for this fight. Sarah and Todd should cut their losses and disengage from this crap.

As a private citizen she can sue the press.

She will still be a public figure....suing the press will be an uphill battle with little prospect of success unless she can prove the knowing publication of known falsehoods....that standard set in NYT v. Sullivan still applies I think.
