Hi CB, and all - I'm an SI oldie; but, have been away for a few years. Just took a chance seeing if there's a Cov'd Calls thread. Glad to find you. From 1996-2000, my best investment returns were in monthly writing cov'd calls in techs. Most of those co's have been acquired. Haven't gotten around to changing my profile since then, so you're welcome to look at some of those co's. Trading/cov'd calls was easy back then! Have been reading some of the posts here. Similar to WW, I was getting in deep guacamole around 2003, and have pretty much been on the sidelines since then. Guess the only smart thing I've done in 9 years was, except for core LT positions, to be out of the market from May, 2008, until this year; but, it might've been a cc's goldmine. The present is: Still believe cc's are a great way to go. My former objective was 2.5%-3% gain per month. Not spectacular; but, steady, and will try for it again. Back in the 90's, examined 4 years of Sch D's, and realized I made more by never buying options long, and never buying cc's back; but, am quite intrigued with your strategy, and will look more on this thread. Travel much; so, can't always be here. If I come-up with anything novel, worthy, or questions, if it's OK with all of you, will post here for thoughts.
.
Regards to all of you, and good trading,
.
