Nuclear is going to take forever to get going and waste disposal seems to still be a problem. Wind is proving uneconomic and impractical compared to NG. Boone Pickens has egg on his face now with his failed investments in wind.

I think that one huge problems have is that so many people of influence have become very emotionally attached to all this greenie stuff. Green is warm, it's fuzzy and it's touchy-feely. But with luck and with a huge expenditure of time and resources it could maybe meet 10-20% of our energy needs in 10-20 years if everything goes according to plan.

The even have keep talking about green during baseball games. They have a green cable channel. My son turned it on (and I am not kidding) they were going into great raptures about the energy benefits of compost piles.

But these Greenies have a good deal of power in Washington these days.
