I seriously think Edmonton should be nuked and then renamed Deadmonton the reason being there are too many red neck hillbillies up there who ride around in their pick up trucks wishing they were Americans.

Long Live Iran and Watch Out Edmonton!!

Other than the war with Iraq and sponsoring anti western terrorism worldwide, not much. They evidently want to hide behind a nuclear shield in order to make the world safe for terrorism. No problemo.

Iranians are a touchy people. In 1829 they stormed the Russian Embassy and decapitated the ambassador!

They seem to have a penchant for damaging political incidents. Probably the dumbest thing they ever did was take the US embassy employees hostage. It cost them big time.

I admit that since Mossadeg they had a lot to complain about vis a vis "interference". The trouble is Mossadeg was probably a Soviet puppet in the making, so interference is moot.

The Sah was a standard set piece American prop up. One wonders why the US under Dulles was always in with dictators of the worst order. They never trusted weak democracies, probably with good reason. Those weak democracies always gave into populist left or radical leaders eventually. (Bazargan)

Iran has always rejected moderate governments. The last one to get rejected, although the jury is out on how that rejection took place, was Mousavi. Mousavi is far from moderate or pro western.
