7/8/09-Question -- R.Russell, the world is deflating. Stocks are deflating, housing is deflating,
commodities are deflating. How can gold possibly go up in this kind of deflationary
atmosphere?

Answer -- Somewhere ahead I believe there's going to be a flight out of fiat money.
"If it's paper, it's garbage," will be the sentiment. People don't understand the meaning
of gold, they think it's a commodity. Wrong, gold is MONEY. In a world where all
paper money is discredited, people will rush to the one money that is not the fantasy
of some nation's central bank. When you think about it, where is the logic of a bunch
of central bank hacks producing wealth out of "thin air"? Wealth comes from hard
work, wealth come from man's sweat or brains. Fiat currency is basically computer-
generated junk. When all else is disbelieved and distrusted, gold becomes the only
trusted true wealth. That's why intelligent men and women hoard gold during hard
times. Gold is timeless money -- 5,000 years of history attests to that statement.
