Actually I think that is one of the main reasons that the recapitalized banks aren't lending... loan losses are headed up... Frankly like I posted on the board where I got this.. The higher savings rate an lower consumption are long term good for the economy.. a real LT green shoot :O) ... too much credit produced an illusion of wealth.. Consumption @ 70% of the economy is too high IMO. All those calls for a resurgence of the US consumer are bunco.. The million dollar question for me... Was March 9 the lows.. TBS
