Let's hope they tranche it correctly this time. But you are right to be troubled - like the Bourbons, the IB's may have learned nothing and forgotten nothing.

I may have figured out what this is really about.

Now, MS, and maybe all the banks, can tell the Fed and Treasury that there is no need to force an auction of this dog excrement when, actually, they will just sell a small bit, repackaged, to each other and a few genuine buyers, er, I mean, suckers.
