perhaps you didn't read this:

But you really can't make any judgement on global warming by looking at isolated local temperatures. The simple fact is that the globe has been in a cooling trend for 11 years now. This in spite of growing (but meaningless) anthropogenic CO2 levels.

Southern California had several months of below normal temperatures. And the fact is, it really doesn't mean anything.

And that's the point....the "climate change" that everyone is frothing at the mouth about is just normal and natural temperature cycles. This planet has never been in a stasis and it never should be.

Worrying about global warming is like worrying about high tides.

If you lived in the Midwest, you would know that high and very high temperatures occur in the plains EVERY year.

Gee, I remember when it got to 114 in Kansas City when I was a child. This was in the 50s. Hmmm.

PETER ROBINSON: What is it about the New Deal that permits people to cite it as a model with a straight face eight decades after it was enacted?

THOMAS SOWELL: Because of the widespread belief that it was the New Deal which saved the country and got us out of the depression. What actually got us out of the depression was the Second World War, and it did so by ending the New Deal.
