Not true. Renewable energy comes from sources that are close to limitless. As a power source input, sun, wind, thermal, and wave are virtually limitless and they cost nothing to input those sources into our powerplants.

Coal, wood, oil, and horses are non-renewable, because they are finite with foreseeable depletion and extinction dates and they cost money to mine, harvest, drill, or purchase to input them into our power plants.

That is the difference between renewable and non. Renewable energy sources or virtually infinite free energy sources that can be tapped.
