Spreading rumors. You can make a rumor easily. You call a friend and say Palin is a transvestite, did you ever hear that? The other person smiles and says they heard that. Now both people can say they heard it from other people.

Like when a Kenyan ambassador says Kenya is proud to be the birthplace of Barack Obama and Obama's Kenyan grandmother publicly says she was in the delivery room when he was born .... stuff like that can start rumors.

I heard a rumor he registered as a foreign student in college, too.
