Perhaps she will simply be a kingmaker. We don't know yet.

He quit the Democrat party, thankfully. :)

Can you imagine Reagan quitting anything?

I think we'll see a pendulum swing towards non-ideological competency taking place after O!'s first term. This does not bode well for Palin.

Maybe. I don't even know if Sarah Palin wants to be President. Maybe she'll write a book, give speeches, settle in at the Heritage Foundation and campaign for other Republicans. Maybe she would accept the VP slot again on a Romney ticket. I have no idea.

Sarah Palin certainly surprised the media and the liberal left as well as independents and Republicans. Her timing was perfect for the announcement.

Her statement says it all regarding her resignation at the end of this session of the Alaska Assembly. Palin referred to the last one and half years as being a lame duck status for an Alaskan Governor as those years are spent running for the next term.

I quote--------

"Many just accept that lame duck status, and they hit that road". Palin continued---"they draw a paycheck. They kind of milk it. And I'm not going to put Alaskans through that."

This moves Lt. Governor Sean Parnell into the Alaskan Governors position.

When I compare Sarah Palin's political credentials to Barrack Hussein Obama prior to his running for POTUS---her credentials in politics shine.

Obama :

Street organizer in Chicago; Illinois State Senator; elected Illinois U.S. Senator but abogated his duties as a first term Junior Senator to run for two years for President----climbing the ladder with no real experience in national politics; as an author wrote fictionalized books about this life

Palin:

Mayor of Wasilia--- not a small task for any town in America; Governor of Alaska and 2008 Vice Presidential Candidate-----Palin has gained experience nationally already that Obama never had when he announced he was running.

Sure her resignation leaves questions--------how will she use her talents and time-----will she run for President----will she be a VP Candidate again. Will she take a job with an energy firm, a think tank, start a new organization----. She has a myriad of choices.

I look forward to her book and observing her career whatever direction she decides to go.
