Thanks. I covered my short at 93 1/8 for a cool $9K. Am long now to
ride back to $100. The sub 1000 pc is a dream(imho). No margins,
no growth!
High end is where its at!

<go dell >>>

Then he writes this

<<It has little R&D(unlike HWP, IBM and DEC), is too
arrogant to make sub-1000 systems
and is slowing down(I think the
projected growth rate is 20%). All this spells trouble. In fact,
I am betting $90,000 that DELL will go down to the ground. Sanity
will prevail. It always does!>>

Whatever suit yourself.

Greg

SoundView Financial Group Inc said it raised its short-term
rating on shares of DELL COMPUTER CORP to buy from hold while
keeping its long-term buy rating on the stock. Analyst Mark
Specker raised his 1998 earnings estimate to $2.55 per share from
$2.36 per share and his 1999 estimate to $3.41 per share from
$2.89 per share. Set short-term price target of $110. (Reuters

And a good luck to you.

Paul,

I think it's more arrogant to sell PC's and not give the proper support to the people purchasing them. (Dell is rated the best when it comes to a variety of quality issues, unlike Compaq, which rates the worst. This will have a far more corrossive effect on market share and the inverse effect for Dell.)

If Dell has nothing special to offer, then why is the entire PC industry trying to change to emulate them (Dell).

Well folks, looks like another bear head for the den. I think it would look nice over the fireplace, don't you.

Adios,
JH

p.s. sanity?
