(TSX: GL.TO) (the "Company") is pleased to report the discovery of approximately 10 km of new gold mineralized structures on the La Fortuna gold project, bringing the aggregate lineal distance of gold mineralized structures on the project to approximately 30 km. The mineralized structures, which are associated with strong regional hydrothermal alteration, are interpreted to be at a high level in the epithermal system (Ref.: News Release dated March 5, 2009). The ML East structure is one of these new discoveries. It lies approximately 1.3 km due south of the Mina Bagual, and is approximately 2.5 km long. The strongest hydrothermal alteration is at the northwest end of the structure. Gold values are anomalous with a maximum value of 0.13 g/t. Silver values range from below detection to a maximum of 93.4 ppm with the better silver values occurring at the northwest end of the structure. Anomalous gold, silver, mercury, and antimony, lead, zinc and copper values are found along the structure with the better values generally concentrated at the northwest end. The "gold-pathfinder" elements mercury (11 to 2,866 ppb) and antimony (6 to 359 ppm) are particularly anomalous. The northern part of the structure appears to be the most prospective, at this time, as it has the strongest geochemical signature and the strongest alteration. However, the geochemistry indicates the southern part of the structure is also prospective. These new discoveries in the southern part of the La Fortuna gold indicate significant potential to expand the district and for the discovery of large deposits of epithermal gold mineralization.
