I don't know about phony but I do wonder about some of the bargain hunter's rationale. If Intel, Compaq etc. were overpriced last week, then why aren't they still overpriced now that they are back at the same or higher levels? I mean why was Intel worth $83 last Friday, $70 this morning and $85 tonight? I'm not complaining, mind you, because I'm long Intel, but it really doesn't make any sense. And it's not the small "novice" investor who is causing these wild swings but the so-called professionals. Really makes me question their wisdom.
