Your absolutism and certitude are as absolute and certain as your consistency for being wrong.

But the reality is that even at IBM they don't create products that can't be sold at a profit. Ultimately, the "bean counters" have to be convinced a product can be profitable or IBM will shut it down just like any other business.

Strategy is not in a bean counter's wiring makeup...as illustrated once more...of course...you can't produce money losing products in disproportion, but a roadmap contains loss leaders all the time...maddening business trying to explain product strategy to a bean counter.

(IBM's problem isn't really been bean counters, but a lack of vision -- but we've had that argument before).
