Les, the problem here is that all parties are corrupt.

the health insurance industry is full of greed bags.

the government is full of greed bags.

which greed bag do you want running the show? who do you want looting you - the insurance companies or the friends of the government (see car dealerships closed to help big contriubting democratic dealers).

medicare is touted as having 3% expenses, but i heard the guy who oversaw TARP claim that 10% fraud is typical of government programs.

3% + 10% = 13%. now that doesn't seem so efficient.

we are screwed as the choice is not to be looted or not, the choice is who shall loot you.

PARAPHRASING WENDELL POTTER: > "There already is a government option, it's called Medicare and it works just fine....It's what the private insurance co's are afraid of." <<

McCain 'the parrot' has you by the short hairs. Sorry. Better luck next time. He's insulting everyone's intelligence but hey.

OT If i was reworking this healthcare thingie, I would offer a medicare7 plan and mandate that the private insurance co's had to offer an equal and identical medicare7 plan. It would cost the same. It would pay the same. [It would be capped the same] The private insurance companies if they wanted to continue in business would have to offer the [medicare7] plan. They could also offer more elite plans for the select few who really get it done. Sige.
