Something needs to be done about the blood-sucking insurance companies that provide no medical service, but guarantee that your cost will go up every year. I don't know which alternative would be best, but there's got to be a better way than what we've got.

George Will stated the problem very succinctly we want 2009 health care at 1950's prices. When I was a kid if you lost a tooth or your teeth weren't straight that was life. You hardly ever see a kid without almost perfect teeth today. It is expected that every five years or so we will experience the dreaded visit to the proctologist. My grandfather and Uncle died from Cancer because these tests did not exist, or at least were not widely used. There are other examples but you get the idea. These advances in technology are costly.

While it is certainly a problem, I don't see how Obama's bill addresses the problem. Isn't the market the best regulator when there is a scarcity.
