Re: If the feds print and mail everyone in the country a large enough stimulus check then you can de-leverage the consumer overnight.

Imagine where our economy would be if there the trillion or so of stimulus had been in the form of a retroactive FICA Tax holiday, instead of stolen by wall street swindlers.

At the same time, put a usury cap of Fed Funds rate + 6% on loans, and have penalties and fees included in that 10% (e.g. force the banks to loan money only to people they think will be able to pay it back - and don't let them masquerade interest as penalties and fees.
