It is definitely unnerving for the US citizens who hear Obama tell us "it will get worse", when he is encouraging, if not outright threatening the House and Senate to continue to spend money so quickly that no one can keep up with the HUGE amounts nor what they are supposedly for....

Does this man either NOT know how everyday checkbooks work? Or the concept that one (even the Government) shouldn't spend money one doesn't have?

Evidently the Government figures on unemployment started to be "jiggered" in 1981, so the number you have at the 'real' number of 16% is actually very close to the number that the two of ours here who work on such things have come up with...16.1% for US unemployment as of now....

Unfortunately, there is nothing on line to help create new jobs (non-governmental jobs -) Who in their right mind even if they had the money to start a new business would do it in our current business environment?

BTW, unclewest, Thanks for posting the video on July 6....I was able to see it just before we left for a small vacation to Victoria....You were right....It certainly stirs up the emotions on every level. Every soldier who is killed in combat deserves this welcome home.....

I certainly hope our government knows what they are doing by sending our men and women to battle in Afghanistan and have given them every piece of equipment and every supply they need, plus a clear and well thought out plan....I don't have faith at all that our political class have done their job in this regard....I know the military has done, and will do, theirs.
