How do you figure? Government has spent every single day it has existed for projects of one kind or another. Usually it is with the idea of getting something done; a road for instance. In almost all cases it is NOT done to stimulate the economy. It doesn't need to stimulate in my mind - only get something meaningful accomplished. If you build a road with the money that is something real and tangible that should last for decades. Not unlike a company does when it borrows today for investing in tomorrow.

implicit in your post is the suggestion that we know they all lie and it is ok. I say we know they all lie throw them out. Both parties.

Hyping your ideas is hardly a lie. We would have a government by wonks if that was the case.
