Vi, i agree almost completely, but with two additional pieces of information.

1. the government doesn't want high interest rates and has effectively capped the market as a hot market drives rates higher.

2. the money to plug the holes isn't being spent as the economy crumbles. this means bubble level goods chasing less and less money in the actual economy.

we believe the end game is exactly the same.

however, we diverge a bit on the road wee take to get there.

i think the depression / deflation in the actual economy flushes out any fiscal restraint (eg, printing even more money, screw interest rates) and then the wolf loses the sheep mask.

i will be buying gold / silver / minors en masse if it moves above $1000, though. so my risk of being wrong is about 10% or so.
