Clean diesel is a great technology. But the fact remains that high CO2 concentrations are existential issues for humans. If abrupt change is possible with feedback systems, then it is not unthinkable to believe in the possibility of a 100 fold increase in CO2 content in our atmosphere. Is it likely? I don't believe so, but I do know that CO2 content has been accelerating over the last 50 years at an alarming rate. It's even more concerning when you look at acceleration over the last 800,000 years. It points to a new outside force acting on the trend line, disrupting it and pushing it to a new equilibrium, which has not been reached yet. Abrupt changes like that are seldom inconsequential from a financial or human life perspective.
