I think I can assure you that everyone here knows about the concepts of economies of scale and technological improvements. Believe it or not, they work in all sorts of industries and aren't just novel things in silicon valley.

The recent postings here about the growth of the shale gas and tight gas industries is a result of technological improvements in a traditional industry. Furthermore, the bigger operators in the ng industry are employing economies of scale to deal with low ng prices.

Right now, the chances are higher that electric car prices will come down substantially over the next 10 years, than the probability that they won't come down. Technological improvements and economies of scale make it highly like that prices will come down.

Of course. The question remains will it be enough?
