there is a reasonably profound discussion of the intel buyback on the intel thread. though most of the posts concentrate on torturing some guy called paul who shorted the stock at 77 earlier today. like none of them has ever made a mistake. i think the news is that there was no news, but the no news was helpful to those of us long on amat. and hk will probably drive tomorrow, but my feeling is that there are choppy seas between now at nov 20th. my view is therefore to trade. something i have been reluctant to do with this stock in the past.

I responded too quickly to roly's inquiry about the buy back story because I just saw the article entitled "Intel Says Buyback Not Likely Immediately After DEC Pact". I should have pasted the entire article or included the link. Sorry for any confusion.
