I don't mean the date of the attack, obviously -- I was referring to the sense of commitment on the parts of all Americans to come together and do what had to be done.


Pretty good backpedal but you follow with:

That was a "great day" in America, much as the commitment after Pearl Harbor was a "great day" in America.

Sounds to me like you are glad 9/11 happened... that on balance it was a good thing.
