Options update for 28 Oct...at some point today, everybody was right.

For once, I followed my own advice, and starting about 9:59 this morning, I started buying everything. Not that I believe the market is going higher, solely because I'm a trader. Pretty happy about the last three days. (Better than 87, and I didn't think that would ever happen).

Don't know what will happen next, but the call volatility is roofing and the public is still selling puts, so as a contrian, I can't see the Dow mounting a sustained rally. My brain has had to digest 1100
Dow points in the last two days, and frankly, I now have a skull full of mush.

Of course, this isn't helped by the fact that I just recently returned from a party for the departure of Ian Camacho from the TSE. I don't want to play insider minutiae, but Ian was the last senior person on the TSE staff whom I liked and respected. He will be sorely missed.
I won't impute his decisions, but if you had the choice of working for "Fearless" Fleming or not working for him, I guess the choice becomes obvious.

My trading system broke down on three separate occaisions today. I can't wait until I'm stuck in some remote location and my computer goes down with no one to help. Not only does the premise suck, the system can't even be relied on. Great idea.

Today the TSE Board voted down the 'non-member professional account' motion. What a bunch of self-serving assholes. These guys need an ethics check. I know this may be obscure to many people, but it is a straight up-or-down gut-check. They failed. Where, oh where, is the OSC?

I guess I've stirred enough shit for tonight.

Happy trading.

Porter

I'm with you Chris I sat on most my cash, but I did throw some money into an Asia fund yesterday. It had to bounce (after the DOW rebounded)and glad to see a 19% bounce. The dead cat bounce theroy lives!!!

P.S. It scared me how many mutual fund holder were pouring cash into the market (I know I work as an advisors). Is this market hold-up by cash. I hate musical chairs!!!
