Thank you, zeus628, for that interesting expose regarding the artist Frederick Hart. There are those who have really battled for their art and have not always had their talent recognized. Vincent Van Gogh comes to mind as one who, apparently, only managed to sell one painting in his life time .... The Red Vineyard at Arles, which went for 400 francs. That's about $351 in today's money !!

Today you'd need a king's ransom to purchase one of his works because the man had a unique, God given talent which was not recognized at the time.
But he painted on regardless, even though he was ahead of his time and his creativity knew no bounds.

With regard to my comments in my message #18570, I was referring there to what was portrayed as "art" in the following link ...

In my humble opinion, that's not Art, that's just a gimmick for which those who fawn at the feet of art are prepared to pay a lot of money because they happen to have more money than common sense and possibly believe that by acquiring such stuff they will be recognized as being "art connoisseurs".
No doubt "artists" who produce such stuff must be laughing all the way to the bank.
