Hi Hawk,

It is really sad.

The nonconfrontaional approach wasted billions.

Should have keyed off of what Cat did to bust the UAW out of there Domestic plants long ago.

The biggest problem was that GM didn't have a lock on domestic production - If/as GM was busting the union and strikes occurred - Ford and Chrysler would just pick up the slack.

The unions sadly still have extortion like oligopoly powers.

This power has been retained as Obama repaid the unions for money given him to secure the presidency.

Like it or not it is our system.

Now as the unions choke off the weakest player Chrysler IMO,then and only then (with an administration change)will the disfavor of their power grip finally result in a power shift.
