Actually, I like programs that save endangered critters, or study them. I don't consider that a waste. And I like needle exchange programs. So it's no wonder I'm happier with government than you are.

Ah the difference between conservative and progressives. Conservatives move slower than molassis and progressives are the first to change.

But I would rather leave education to the States and I would love to spend on these two programs you mention. The mouse issue is about a canary in the mine. Or as the native American understood, .....don't shit in your teepee. The needle thing is about lessoning disease in our communities. Some conservatives I assume must think that needle exchange means much more. What? That addicts are getting something for free?
