No Manalagi, but I do not know what the full story is? No unethical acts are ok with me. But until we get public financing of campaigns (which the right wing always prevents) and until we get a more sophisticated and less self centered electorate e.g. pro lifers often being one issue voters, or voters voting in their congress people bacause of the pork they bring home, both parties will be beholden to lobbyists and a self centered electorate, or they will not get elected. E.g. John Kerry was told by James Carville that if he did not disavow gay marriage he would lose the election. Kerry said in good conscience he could not do that and he lost Ohio and the election because of the right wings gay bashing and tying it to Kerry. Obama lied about gay marriage and he won!!! So who did the right thing?
