I gained my academic wisdom in high school having graduated an extraordinary one and I made the most of it. In the classics department I had PhD's teaching me one on one, because the rest of my class was too lazy to try. In the humanities department I learned how to write. Math and science departments were excellent too, so much so that I entered Wharton with a year's worth of AP credits. Not only did I read Plato in English in high school but also read Plato in classical Greek. Ever read Plato or Homer in their original Greek in high school? Ever read Virgil in Latin in high school? Not to be esoteric and with all due respect.

An awful lot of presumptions about me in your post but it's great to know you learned so much in college and had things explained and interpreted for you. :-)
