Kissing would not have been fun for me at high school... was an all male school although since gone coed. I probably learned more because of that. I learned a lot in Latin and Greek in high school... I guess similar to what koan had explained to him in college. Take the Aeneid for example, it was the bible of its day in ancient Rome. The locals might wake up and open it to a random page and read the verses as a proscription for the day. Supposedly they were a superstitious lot... chicken entrails and all, lol.

There is a mountain of ancient never read writings with a dearth of trained classicists to translate. Most of it is probably rubbish, grocery lists, random gibberish notes. But who knows maybe parts of a classic to be rediscovered? That's the other interesting thing about the classics, especially Greek. The only texts that survived were the most popular and widely copied, not necessarily the best. How to gauge that vis a vis the current digital and print age?
