I also heard an excellent interview with a Berkely Physicist on the Hugh Hewitt show several weeks back. You could find it on the www.krla.com podcasts if you look.
He was pretty much saying global warming has been way over hyped. The facts on the polar ice though had some odd effects with respect to intuition. He said while North Pole may have been warmer, South Pole has been colder in recent past. The odd point on the polar ice cap is that the global warming models expect more growth in snow and ice in South pole due to warming than had in fact occurred. So snow pack is not necessarily the same as saying there will be colder temperatures.
