"....don't you guys irrigate?" Until recently, it wasn't needed. So most places have no provision for it. But that started to change about 10 years ago. I couldn't believe the corn crop.......completely grown....ears ready to be picked.......but the stalks were brown and withered from lack of water and there were no kernels on the cobs. Very sad. What the hell do farmers do? I don't think you can even use the stalks for feed. I am surprised they are not irrigated. Its not that expensive.......you can run the pipe above ground......it doesn't have to be buried.
