Re this: but when "family values" GOP'ers screw up (literally), they give the Dems plenty of talking point ammo... :-( Yes, the Dems have much better PR people on that side of the aisle. When Repubs mess up in their personal lives, it's almost as if thats a signal to start the drum beats from coast to coast with 24/7 exposure for at least a week. Numerous Dems have been caught doing all sorts of law breaking things, and the Dems in power either laugh or turn their backs. How much coverage did Marion Barry get recently? Zippo. And Franklin Raines....no NO, don't touch him...(He's laughing someplace with his millions of ill gotten dollars from Fannie Mae) And that's just for starters.
