This is the Golden Key: "...tiny Cymer Inc. holds the progress of the entire semiconductor and computer industries in its hands."

New York Times, Oct 26, 1997

Just stop and really think about that for a moment. There are ENORMOUS STAKES here. The technology race is relentless and companies that chose to be players have made a commitment, a commitment that requires them to never stop, or even rest, to constantly push the envelope. For some, the prestige of an entire country is a stake, defeat is not an option. However, a miscalculation can cost millions and some may have to forsake building new fabs or endure huge losses to maintain market share. But above all else, at the pinnacle of importance, and the key to ultimate success and profit is the need to push their technology prowess forward. Somehow, the money will be found and ultimately the money will be made.

And who holds "the key" to pushing this technology envelope? Yes, it's our tiny "bulb" company, Cymer.

Gary.
