Dave,

I never try to get too specific in predicting stock movements, except for the obvious. With the huge valuations in companies like Gillette and Coke earlier in the year, and the huge rally in tech from April to August, it was obvious to me there would "soon" be a correction. However, I wasn't able to define soon. I didn't predict when, just what.

It's not obvious to me now that AMAT will be higher, or lower for that matter, in six months. But I will predict that long term this baby will deliver exceptional compounded returns. That is close to obvious.

Please forgive me if you've made specific, or close to it, predictions as to when the slow down will begin. But could you please give me your expectation for when it will occur. I said that if AMAT began falling a month ago in anticipation of the slow down, then the slow down is five months from now, or around March.

Your predictions?

Stu B.
