Thanks for the article re intel/dec. Here's another (lead in only) from WSJ:

Sparked by a strong gain overnight in New York, Asian-Pacific markets
rebounded Wednesday morning. Hong Kong shares opened up more than 17%,
erasing all of the previous day's losses, and the Nikkei average in Tokyo climbed 3.7% near midday.

Some earlier poster mentioned that with HK down 12% last night that today would be a melt-down in New York. I guess they finally put the tail on the correct end of that dog.
