O i know it is NOT going to happen, even up here, in this land of rugged free spirits, the vasy majority don't know enough to get mad. Without someone like Edward R Murrow taking hold of the american public and shaking it, via the sheer strength of a cummincator with a powerful media venue, nothing happens. i am glad(and surprised) Frank Rich as brought out strongly that REAL CRIMINALS are still running free and in control, and targeted most strongly GS . But newspaper print media venue is now dead as a force. What this public would respond to is Oprah or Jerry Springer turning into a a Howard Beale--LOL!!!!! Fat Chance, Jerry and Oprah are SuperStars in the KEEP AMERICA Stupid as they let Rush Limbaugh handle the 'Let's keep America Mean/Heartless'. But even if someone some charismatic persona grabbed a large audience like that of Howard Beale. They wold likely end up like him. From Network, for those that haven't seen this majorly classic scene in america cinema history. It is Ned Beatty ONLY appearance in the movie, btw.( We could now cast the part using Hank Paulson) youtube.com
