"I think Obama's opponents are making a mistake to simply disagree or take issue with everything that Obama has said or done."

Neal, The stimulus was supposed to be targeted, timely and temporary. It was none of these. Biden perhaps was honest when he said they misread the economy. Of course Barack had to say it is working as planned. Please!

During the Bush years the Democratic rhetoric was vicious and unrelenting. I see no reason why Obama should be spared the rules of the game he helped to set. When he trashed McCain over earmarks and then signed them all on a Friday night he lost what little possible respect I may have had for the man.

It is a blood sport. He helped make the rules - now he has to play by them.

If the time were to come when he would seek true bipartisan participation is solutions perhaps the game could change. For now it is words - backed up by Nancy Pelosi closed doors. Obama words are not Obama actions.
