I've been persuaded that deflation pushes the gold price down (although there are different ways to define deflation). With simultaneous inflation and deflation gold may be pulled in opposite directions. All bets are off.

Earlie I had to reco that post. We live in interesting times. I did sell my KGI sometime back before the borehole news and waiting to renter after news on the 20th.
