Britain bombed Sweden occupied by the Germans..... what the fukk are you smoking, man?

Take a hike, will you?!

I edited that post before reading this one, I confused Sweden with Norway. Though I believe there may have been a bombing of a harbor or two, opps that was also Norway. Ahh, just remembered they did have some losses during WW II, lost a lot of shipping and some leased to Britain. I think they also lost shipping during WW I.

Except for the fact that I happen to know from relatives emigrating from Moravia via Hamburg, that Peru was a creative business man's paradise from the early 1900s until 2nd world war. Let me give you a clue for Wiki: Cotton... and not that plain one grown in the US and elsewhere (except for Egypt, that is).

Many of the rich profited from the Great Depression, so that fact does not negate the trouble they had.

Come on, Taro, don't you remember the Malmo invasion of 1940? The Swedes kept the Germans at bay for months by firing frozen gifelte fisk at them. Eventually, the Swedes capitulated but not after putting up the good fight. ;-)
