Anybody who could say Reagan made things worse either wasn't there or is a liar because they can't be that unaware. I was in the Navy when Reagan was elected and we had an overnight improvement in moral. The country as a whole improved throughout his tenor. There was some serious malaise with peanut boy in there and our 19% home mortgages.
