Yes you are right. That is very much what I am worried about - sputtering back. If it only sputters back then the deficits projected via ole rosy scenario will be much bigger. The mid year budget review is coming (last year July 28 gpoaccess.gov it will blow this mess sky high unless they cook the books.

What would I do - I would reduce the deficits with some HONEST talk. True deficit reduction means more tax revenue - not just from the top 2%. I would tell the people that the welfare state will require a demilitarization as it has every where else it has been done.

Faced with those realities the spending would be truly examined line by line as the Barack promised.

Obama has some bad promises that he will need to walk away from - the sooner the better.
