It would be interesting to have a show like Bill Buckley used to have....just people discussing current events or whatever. But today, because the media everywhere is so out of control, we would have to have the caveat that both or all people in the discussion be prepared to state WHY they think whatever it is they think, and WHERE they go for their information that would lead them to whatever conclusion they espouse. It's one thing to just have an "opinion" just because you think it....but entirely another to get on a televised program and just spout nonsense in place of something factual. For instance, one of the things we hear constantly on various media outlets, is the "They say" or "they did" or "they demand", etc ......WHO are the "They" being talked about? How many of the "they" are there? Or did the person just make the "they" up as a strawman? That's what Williams was doing....we have NO idea of who or how many his illustrated "they" there are....and probably, neither does he.
