We call it beating back the jungle here. I don't imagine you grow up any faster there than central Alabama. You gotta be out there every year to keep it from overgrowing your house, and to keep the ditches clear, etc. but that is not the same thing as cutting old growth. or cutting roads through forests. especially when you are losing money on the deal, which is what our govt, with our money, is proposing to do, as they have always done. makes no daym sense. at least show us the money... and explain cutting not just any forest, but a rain forest and then explain to brazil why they shouldn't cut theirs cause it so important to the world's climate. i'm sure their forest grows back fast, too... so why not just cut it down? didn't work out so well for spain, tho, did it?
